When is check-in and check-out?
3pm check-in and 11am check-out. All units are ready for you from 3pm, with the key in the door for your arrival. There is a car park, with security lighting and cameras, signed Loch Lomond Hideaways Car Park, a parking space allocated to your cabin, and a map of the Hideaways garden showing where your cabin is. You don’t need to do anything to check-in, just head for your cabin.
How close to Loch Lomond are you?
We are in the southern tip of the National Park and just 12 minutes drive to either side of Loch Lomond. Glasgow, Glasgow Airport and Stirling are around half an hour away.
Where exactly are you located?
Most map apps will find us if you search ‘Loch Lomond Hideaways, Croftamie’. We are just outside the village of Croftamie, 6 miles from the southern end of Loch Lomond, which you can find either at Balloch or Balmaha.

The Cabins
Who are the cabins best suited for?
Loch Lomond Hideaways is best suited to couples looking for a quiet short break near Loch Lomond. Each cabin sleeps two people and offers privacy, outdoor space and a relaxed atmosphere close to walks, villages and restaurants.
How many people does each cabin sleep?
Each cabin sleeps a maximum of two people. If you have an infant who can sleep in the same bed as you, then they are welcome, otherwise it is not suitable for children.
Are the cabins private?
The cabins are secluded from each other, with plenty of tree cover giving you outdoor privacy. On the deck you have blinds which can be lowered when you are using the outdoor Jacuzzi Hot Tub, or if you just want a bit of seclusion.
Is the barbecue area covered?
Yes, the barbecue is under cover, so there’s no need to stand in the rain while cooking!
Is the Jacuzzi hot tub covered?
Yes, the Jacuzzi hot tub is on the fully covered and sheltered deck area, along with seating and the wood burner stove. No need to sit in the rain while you’re having a bath!
Facilities
Is there parking?
Yes, there is free parking on site for guests. The car park is lit at night, and is covered by a security camera. Each cabin has its own allocated parking space, with plenty of room to get your car doors fully open!
Do cabins have Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available across all the indoor and outdoor spaces. Connection details are in the information book inside your cabin.
Do cabins have heating?
Yes, all the cabins are heated, and there is a heated towel rail too.
Are hot tubs/spa baths private?
Yes, each cabin has a private Jacuzzi hot tub on the deck, and blinds you can use to increase your privacy when you need to.
Is the barbecue gas?
No, all our barbecues are charcoal for the authentic experience!
Do you supply Barbecue utensils?
Yes, all barbecue utensils are supplied, at no cost. They can be found in the Store.
Are Bedding and Towels supplied?
Yes, all bedding and towels are supplied.
Are Bedding and Towels changed during my stay?
Yes, all bedding and towels are changed on request if you are staying for more than one night, at no cost.
Are Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, Bubble Bath supplied?
Yes, all Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, Bubble Bath are supplied.
Do you supply Dressing gowns?
Yes. Lounging about on the deck, having a Jacuzzi Hot Tub with a glass of wine usually requires a dressing gown, which you will find in your cabin.
Are the lights on when we arrive?
Yes, they are. The garden and the decks are strung with thousands of fairy lights all year round, and at Christmas time we add even more!
Food & Supplies
What is included in Breakfast?
There is a healthy light breakfast, with Croissants, Porridge, Tea/Coffee provided in your room.
Do I need to bring Logs for the fire
No, but you can if you wish. When you arrive there is an easy-light firelog (lasts a couple of hours) in your wood burner stove, and you can add logs as required. We sell additional logs (which are sized to fit into our log burner stoves) in our store, and we keep our prices competitive with the likes of B&Q and local petrol stations.
Do I need to bring Charcoal for the Barbecue
No, but you can if you wish. We sell barbecue coals in our store, and we keep our prices competitive with the likes of B&Q and local petrol stations.
Can I Order In takeaway food?
Yes, there is an up-to-date list of recommended takeaways in the information book in your cabin. They will deliver your order to the car park where you will have parked.
What’s in the on-site store?
We have an honesty store on site to pick up fresh milk, spare cutlery & crockery, and BBQ utensils. We also have items to buy using our honesty box (bring some cash, or you can pay by bank transfer), additional fire logs, charcoal, soft drinks, crisps, chocolate, occasional gifts, etc.

What can we do near Loch Lomond Hideaways?
Loch Lomond Hideaways is close to several popular attractions and walks in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, including:
• Conic Hill, one of the most famous viewpoints over Loch Lomond
• Balmaha village, with the Oak Tree Inn and boat trips on the loch
• Balloch, with shops, restaurants and Loch Lomond Shores
• The West Highland Way and the John Muir Way, which pass nearby
• Scenic drives and walks throughout the National Park
All of these are within around 10–20 minutes by car from the Hideaways.

Booking & Payment
When is payment due?
A deposit of 25% is taken at booking, by credit or debit card. The balance of your bill is due one month before your stay (eg. your stay date is 27th April, your balance is due 27th March). This will normally happen automatically, and will be taken from the same card you paid your deposit with, unless you request otherwise. If the automatic payment fails, you will be sent a payment link by email.
Pets & Rules
Do you allow dogs?
Yes. The Hideaways are dog friendly.
There is a £10 charge for a dog (three dogs max), which you can prepay on the website, or on arrival in the honesty store. There are dog gates in each unit to limit the ability for your dog to wander, but these are not infallible, and you should not leave your dog unattended or allow your dog to visit the other units.
We have had a few cat visitors too, and the same applies (although the gates are not effective for cats!).
Can I have a Party in my Cabin?
No, the Hideaways cabins are for a maximum of two people in each cabin, and the atmosphere is relaxed and calm. Loud noise from a party is not appropriate and would disturb other guests.
